ABOUT ELEVATE

Built By Someone Who’s Been There.

Elevate Athlete Development was built to give hockey players structure, clarity, and a better way to develop without getting lost in the noise.

About Me

My name’s Alex Strachan, founder of Elevate Athlete Development. I played AAA hockey for eight years with the Buffalo Jr Sabres, competed in elite environments like the T1EHL, attended USA Hockey Select 15 camp, and played Junior A in the Ontario Junior Hockey League.

That’s not just to list accomplishments — it’s to show I’ve been in high-level locker rooms. I understand what it takes to succeed in them, and also what causes players to burn out in them.

Outside of hockey, I’m heading to SUNY Cortland to study Exercise Science, and I’m currently working toward my PN1 Nutrition certification.

Why I Built Elevate

I never ended up playing college hockey. Not because I didn’t have opportunities — but because I fell out of love with the game.

Hockey started to feel like a chore. Looking back, it wasn’t really the game itself — it was everything around it.

Drafts, juniors, camps, exposure, politics — that side of hockey is real. And it only gets heavier the further you go.

That’s exactly why I built Elevate. I don’t want players to go through that same experience: losing their love for the game because of everything outside of it.

What We Do

Everything we build is designed to simplify development. Instead of guessing, players get structure. Instead of doing random work, they follow a plan.

Random workouts Low-quality reps No real progression Poor recovery

That’s why we created our first product — the Off-Season Blueprint. Every year, I see players working hard all summer, but showing up in September still behind. It’s not a work ethic problem. It’s a structure problem.

The Vision

Long-term, Elevate is becoming a full development system. Not just off-season programs, but personalized plans built around each athlete.

Strength, conditioning, skills, recovery, nutrition, and the political side of hockey — all in one place.

So players can stop stressing about everything outside the game...

And just focus on getting better at it.
